about

Written for a watershed education program...but recorded years after.
It is based on the Paul Simon song "Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover" I was trying to communicate some ways of minimizing our impacts on water quality...........there MUST be at least 50 ways......right?

lyrics

The problem is all inside your watershed you see.
The answer is easy if you see it chemically......
I'd like to help you make our world pollution free.......... there must be 50 ways to make thing better!....
50 ways to make things better..........

She said it's really not my habit to pollute,
therefore i sure do hope that
there is someting I can do....
So I 'll redeem myself, cause I don't want to be rude..... there must be 50 ways to make things better
50 ways to make things better..........

Jump on the green track Jack,
Recycle your cans Stan,
plant yourself a tree Lee.....
Just listen to me.....

Hop on the bus Gus
No need to drive so much,
Organic is key lee........
To keep our world clean.

She said it grives me so to see things in such pain
I wish there was something I could do
to make things safe again.....
I said I appreciate that, but would you please explain about the 50 ways??

She said why don't we both just ride our bikes tonight
And i believe that in the morning
we'll begin to set things right.
Then the AIR cleared and I realized she probably was right....
There must be 50 ways to make things better.........
REPEAT Chorus......and add other verses.............read the label on the back Jack, (as in labels for paints, fertilizers that are misused/overused and cause water pollution)
tune up that car bart, (leaky engines differentials= water pollution)
keep the septic on the chart (failing septics well .....you know)
and no pesticides for me... (pesticides are poisons! They are poisons. Poisons. Some are linked with endocrine misdevelopment- reproductive effects..look it up), cancer, learning disabilities.....nerve damage....and on and on and on......fish are very sensitive to certain types as are non-target insects........
THANK YOU!!!!
etc.........
